My husband, Mike Ambrose, and I got to meet Ms. Akers during the time that she lived in the room at Pioneer Ridge just next to my father, Bill Pendleton. She was very gracious and put out candies outside her door, and decorated the door beautifully. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and offer my deepest condolences to her family and friends. May the Lord Jesus comfort all those who mourn.
