I will always remember Lolly and Tony as wonderful neighbors on the Haskell campus in the late 1940s. In fact, when the Coombses moved off campus, the Coffins moved into our house at 110 Barker! Lolly was such a sweet person; I can only be thankful that she led a very special life.

To the Coffin's and all related, so sorry to hear that Lolly has passed on. My heartfelt condolences to you all.
A friend of family, as family..., I send my gratitude. And in celebration of that great woman is a glass held high over here in Japan.

Dear Coffin Brothers,
So saddened to read about Lolly's passing. My mother, Wauneta, so enjoyed playing bridge with Lolly. What spirited games they had. Bet there is a marathon bridge game going on in heaven right now! I always enjoyed visiting with Lolly, she was a great lady.

To all, Barry, Doug, Lynn, et al -- I'm saddened & surprised by the news because I hadn't run into you for so long, but Lolly was such a delight; such a sage, and such a joy. She was Dorothy Sego's pal in the days that I worked with Dorothy...after my grandfather, father, uncle & aunt had passed. She lightened me up and enlightened me, too -- a true joyous spirit! I'm blessed to have met her and to have seen her in you. My heart shares the joy of memory and the sadness that she isn't here to laugh with us or at us! Carry on!

Dear Doug & Barry (and siblings),
This is a voice from the distant past and I'm not sure you will remember the Coombses who lived a few houses away on the Haskell campus until early 1951. But I remember your wonderful parents and was delighted that, during a visit to Lawrence in the 1990s, my mother got to spend some time with yours before her own passing in 2001. Our thoughts are with you at this special time.
