Lincoln Stransky

Lincoln Stransky, 86, passed away at his home in Overland Park, KS on August 2, 2015.

Graveside Funeral Services will be at 12:30 pm, Mon., Aug. 10, at the Leavenworth Veterans Administration National Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS. The family will receive friends at the visitation from 3 to 5 pm, Sun., Aug. 9, at the Alden Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS.

Lincoln was born December 9, 1928 to Joseph and Katherine Stransky in Fayetteville, Arkansas he spent his childhood in Kansas City and Bonner Springs, KS. He graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1946. His career spanned 45 years with Lone Star Industries in Bonner Springs, Kansas City and New York State. He was in the United States Marine Air Corps and did active duty in the Marines VMF-215 squadron during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Steve and Francis and a sister Ann Feltner. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen, of the home, two sons Keith Stransky and his wife Debbie of Fairfield, Connecticut and Kenneth Stransky of Norton, Vermont. Four grandchildren - Lynne Price, Karen Stransky, Benjamin and Meyer Stransky. One sister Nell Payne and numerous nieces and nephews. The Family suggests memorial contributions to the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church building fund in care of the funeral home.
