I just learned of Leonard's passing. So sad. I worked with him many years ago (45) at NLRB in KC. He was such a nice man, a true gentleman. My condolences to his family.

On behalf of the Lawrence High School Class of 1966, I offer comfort to Leatha, Teresa, Mary, John, Laura, Adalynn, and Clay. May your memories be of happiness and love. Leonard was an American Government teacher at LHS. The last time we met was not long ago when we shared some of our lives, and I was rather astonished by his accomplishments. I will carry my respect for him always.

I always enjoyed visiting with Leonard at WSU when I would work the games. He knew I was from Ottawa, Kansas, and he had worked in Lawrence, Kansas. We had an even deeper connection when he found out his wife and I were Delta Sorority Sisters. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family. Your loved one will be missed.

My job (from another office) required his signature, so a fond professional memory from decades ago was when I addressed Dr. Clark as Mr. Clark...over a period ? of time! When I saw his framed PhD I apologized & was embarrassed, he ever so politely, kindly, replied "Why? you're not wrong, I was a Mister before I got my Doctorate!" The world is a better place because of Dr. Clark. Prayers for comfort as he rests.

I first met Leonard when we were law students. Even though of different races we began to call each other cousin because of our surname, and continued to do so as we saw each other over the years. It was a special greeting because he was special, as everyone was his brother.
