I was sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I was out of town during this time. I know that he and Lee, my husband, had some memorable times together. Now they are together again in Heaven.

Larry played fast pitch with my dad, George 'Jay' Williams and may of his friends in the 1950's and '60's. I got my nickname, Bear, because of him. He was a great guy and a fantastic role model for a young baseball player growing up. I will never forget the many fun times with I had as batboy, when I wasn't pitching in one of my own games. My dad, now age 87, will be saddened to hear of Larry's passing, but will smile remembering the good times and how he grew to be such. Fine man and educator. My thoughts and prayers go out to Bear and his family. Gary Wiliams, Topeka, Kansas.

Larry was a great guy. Always considered him a friend. He was very loyal to the Lawrence Lions football team and I frequently saw him at their games He was a catcher on my first little league team. John Hadl and I talked about that yesterday. The best to his family and friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Campbell family. Not only was Mr. Campbell my principal at Vinland, he was also a great friend of my father's (Hubert Hoskinson). I spent many nights watching Larry and my dad play baseball. I have many fond memories of Mr. Campbell.

Condolences to the Campbell family from the Lawson family at Vinland. He taught several of us and we thought the world of him. A great educator and a great person.

How fortunate we were that Larry was principal at Brookwood when both of our daughters attended. We remember his bright smile and kind words that he always had for all the children and their parents. Larry sincerely cared about the children and knew every child by name. The Brookwood families loved and respected him. What a lovely man he was.
With sincere sympathy,
