On the evening of Friday, July 16, 2021, Lance Anthony Steffey, 31, lost his battle with addiction at his home in Topeka. Lance was born October 21, 1989 in Winchester KS to Lisa Humerickhouse and Marvin Steffey Jr. He enjoyed riding horses and four-wheelers. Lance graduated from McLouth High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. Lance was a very loving and caring son, brother, cousin, and grandson.
Survivors include his mother, Lisa Humerickhouse and her husband Jerrad , his father Marvin Steffey Jr. and his wife Letha, sisters; Ashley King, and children Micah and Mikinzi, McLouth KS, Chelsey Renfro (Sean) and children Bryce, Kellan, and Kohen, Chelsea Ann Rome (Mike) and children, Kal and Kinley, brothers, Jimmy Steffey (Haley) and child Myers Steffey, Cameron Humerickhouse (Tyarra), Trevor Roberts (Kayla), maternal grandparents, Martha Patterson, McLouth, KS, Joe and Thelma Humerickhouse, Osage City KS, paternal grandparents; Thelma Durkes, McLouth, KS and Larry and Roberta Ross Lebanon, MO.
