Kathleen Virginia Turner, age 73, of Linwood, KS passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Merriam, KS. Funeral services will be at 10 AM, Saturday, February 7, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow at 2 PM, Saturday, February 7, in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Atchison, KS. Friends may call at the visitation from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, February 6, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to Operation Wildlife in care of the funeral home. Mrs. Turner was born on September 18, 1941 in Atchison, KS and moved to this area in 1966, she co-owned and operated Turner's Turn Inn in Bonner Springs for many years. She loved her grandchildren and her cats and in her retirement she enjoyed fishing and birdwatching. She was preceded in death by her husband O. H. "Bud" Turner in 1973. And she is survived by her four children James Bowen (Cathy) of Bonner Springs, KS; Debra Ring of De Soto, KS; Robert Bowen of Eudora, KS and Lee Ann Hardeman (Mark) of Linwood, KS. One sister Mary Boatright of Kansas City, KS. Five grandchildren and one great grandson as well as many nieces and nephews other family and friends that will miss her greatly.
