The family will greet friends from 9:00 to 10:00 prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will take place following the service in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence, KS.

Karron was born December 10, 1940, in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Raymond G. and Vivian (Rothrock) June.

She was a graduate of Lawrence High School.

She worked for over 50 years as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Kansas.

She and husband, Ken, owned K&K Lawn and Landscape and cared for customer's lawns in Lawrence for 20 plus years. They were known for their green Ford pickup and a friendly wave to who honked while driving by.

She enjoyed traveling and summer vacations at the lake and was always up for a new adventure. She especially loved attending all the grandchildren school and sporting events and Friday nights with "her boys". She didn't miss a moment. She took great pride in being the back-up chauffeur and was always ready at a moments notice. She loved celebrating birthdays and holidays in style and was the hostess with the mostest.

She married Kenneth Schwarz on February 17, 1979, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ron Ferguson and grandson, Ryan Walker.

Survivors include her daughter, Colleen (Ted) Walker, Lawrence, KS; two sisters, Sherrel Crenshaw, Ottawa, KS, Kathy Decker, Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Sarah Walker, TJ Walker, Brittany Welch, Andrew Welch, Hannah Foiles; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ryan Walker Scholarship and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
