Karen graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. She married her high school sweetheart John Armstrong in Fairway, Kansas on December 30, 1977. Ah, John and family. Larry and I are so deeply sorry for your loss, but rejoice in Karen´s gain. I am so very thankful she is with her Lord and pain free. She went thru so much physical pain in her short but significant lifetime. I know she leaves a huge hole in all of your lives. May God comfort and carry you all thru the days, weeks and months ahead until the day that you are reunited with this special daughter of the King, wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend. Karen was and is one special lady. She was always so present, so interested in what others were doing. So supportive, sweet and caring. God bless you all with His sweet presence, grace and peace. Hugs from Denver!

Dear Family of Karen, I am so sorry for your loss. Karen was my first friend in the world. Even in 2nd grade, she was upbeat and chipper, maybe a bit of a chatterbox. Caring, loving and true, she befriended me and years later cared for our children during their early years of life. She was a blessing to many and I couldn't be happier for her now as she begins this new leg of her life's journey. It's a bittersweet time but for a moment in eternity. And then we have the Reunion to look forward to. Bless you all.

I met Karen the Christmas 2001 right before I moved to Kansas the next June. We attended CBC and shared a friendship all these years. We were in a woman´s Bible study for over 10 years which she hosted in her home for at least 5 of those. Her caring and faith is what always stood out to me. Will miss her.
