Jynell Jones Obituary
Jynell Jones, 87, Perry, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was born February 15, 1928 at Cherokee, OK, the daughter of Martin Dwayne and Zelma L. McGee, Jones. She was a 1945 graduate of Elk City High School. A wife and mother, Jynell worked at many different jobs including helping at the Perry Elementary School and taking care of the new Laundromat in town. She worked as a cashier at Bill's I G A, now Perry-Lecompton Thriftway, retiring in 2010 after 30 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Perry Christian Church, Perry. Jynell was married to Clifford Berry Jones on January 4, 1947 at Independence, KS, he preceded her in death on June 21, 2002. Survivors include, one son, Ronnie (Carrie) Jones, Topeka, two daughters, Cindy Spreer, Perry, Cathy (Jim ) Perron, Topeka, eight grandchildren , 14 great-grandchildren and a son-inl-law, Dan Sanford. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Joyce Bond, Nancy Jones Sanford and two son-in-laws, Vernon Bond and Gary Spreer.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday at Perry Christian Church. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at the Christian Church. Jynell will be truly missed. She had such a kind heart and cared about everyone! I worked with her at Perry Thriftway for 2 years and always loved seeing her face when I worked. May she rest in peace, god bless her family at this time!
