June Collins Obituary

June Casebeer Collins, born on St. Patrick's Day, 1918, passed away at the age of 98 on Wednesday, 2 November 2016, immediately following her Chicago Cubs scoring what became the winning run in the World Series. June was married for 62 years to Tate B. Collins, Jr (1916-2002). She led a full life dedicated to preserving our natural world, helping children and enjoying the arts. June is survived in life by two sons and their spouses, six grand-children and their spouses, three great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. The family will have private remembrances of June and requests that donations in her memory be directed to the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044 for distribution to the Alzheimer's Association or to Plymouth Congregational Church, UCC, in Lawrence.
