Julia Seitz Obituary

Graveside services for Julia Patricia (Reed) Seitz, 75, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence. She went home to be with the Lord, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Brandon Woods at Alvamar in Lawrence. Julia was born July 6, 1941 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of William Ernest and Emma Lee (Richardson) Reed. She attended Lawrence Wesleyan Church. She was proud of and loved her dog, Freckles. She also enjoyed playing cards. She was a waitress and a property manager. Survivors include two grandsons; one granddaughter; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Vicky Hofer and her husband, Dale of Eudora, KS, Judy Henderson of Lawrence; a brother Mike Reed and wife, Nancy of Topeka, KS; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Marty Reynolds; and her sister, Shari Sheaffer. Memorials may be made in her name to the Lawrence Humane Society or Lawrence Wesleyan Church and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Julia was one of the strongest women I have had the pleasure of taking care of @ LMH. Never did she complain and always very thoughtful and kind. She will be missed.
