Judy Myers Obituary

Judy Maxine (Stohs) Myers passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born April 10, 1948 in Marysville, KS the daughter of Normond Stohs and Loeda (Spreer) Stohs. She attended Waterville High School, Waterville, KS, graduating in the class of 1966. She then graduated from Technical School in Topeka.

Judy worked for over thirty years in the banking industry. She worked in various banks in Topeka, Kansas City, and from 1994 to 2005 she worked in bookkeeping and as a teller for Baldwin State Bank, Baldwin City, KS.

On July 13, 1989 Judy was united in marriage to Robert Myers in Topeka, KS. They shared fourteen years together until the passing of Robert in 2004.

Judy was a member of the Baldwin City Community Theatre Board, American Legion Auxiliary of Baldwin City, as well as a member and secretary of her bowling league in Lawrence. She enjoyed her time reading and putting puzzles together. Tending to her flowers and her beloved cardinals were also very important to her. Most of all Judy loved to help her son with his catering and cooking especially by making her wonderful cheesecakes.

Judy is survived by her son Kevin Jackson and his wife, Kristy, of Lawrence; sister Alice Stratton of Baldwin City; brother Donald Stohs and his wife, Betty, of Waterville; and two grandchildren, Kevin Coulter and Darrell Coulter of Lawrence.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Myers, and a brother Robert Stohs.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 at the funeral home.
