Private Family only Graveside services for Judith “Judy” Allen Morris, 84, Lawrence, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Judy passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at LMH Health.
Judy was born on January 20, 1938, in Hays, KS, the daughter of Milton and Isabel (Perry) Allen.
She married Duane Morris on May 29, 1959, in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death.
Judy was a Phi Beta Phi and loved her sorority sisters. She was also a member of PEO.
She was on the school board in Essex, Vermont, on the Citizen Review Board for many years and worked with CASA.
Judy enjoyed her time working for Cottonwood Inc as well.
She was also very proud of her KU heritage as being Phog Allen’s granddaughter.
Most importantly, family always came first, and she never missed her boys’ sporting events.
Survivors include her sons, Bret (Angela) Morris, Kenneth (Dobie) Morris, brother, Milton “Mickey” Allen Jr., sister, Jenni Allen, four grandchildren, Kaitlin, Hayley, Meredith, Jake, two great-grandchildren, Porter, and Beckham.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
The family will greet friends from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday November 29, 2022, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary with the casket remaining closed.
The family suggests memorials in Judy’s name to the Cottonwood Foundation or Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Nothing but great memories of Judy and being friends with the family growing up. She always had a smile for me and a kind heart. Best wishes and condolences to Brett and his family and all the Morris family.
