Mrs Abernathy and her husband made great accomplishments in the Civil Rights movement and are to be commended. The children and family should be very proud. I offer the family my condolences.

How Awesome as a kid to be in the presence of Mrs. Abernathy as a young kid during the 70's at West Hunter Street Baptist Church. She was an Awesome example of Devotion, Compassion, Faith and Love that not only touch her immediate and Church Family but many others around the World. So Thankful to have known her . She and her husband were on the front lines during the civil rights movement and have left their footprints in our hearts. May Juanita Rest In Peace and may her family find comfort in the memories of her wonderful life.
