Jonathon Shelton Obituary

Jonathon Wayne Shelton, 33 of Lawrence Kansas passed away on July 28, 2021 in Lawrence Kansas. He was born on July 30, 1987 in Parsons Kansas to Angela Murphy and Donald Shelton.

Jon grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Free State High School in 2005. He took pride in working at Hp Pelzer as well as in the oil field near Odessa Texas.

Jon enjoyed spending time with his three daughters, his love, and her two sons. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Jon was a jokester who had the ability to brighten up a room with his presence. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, cooking, and had recently taken up hobby beekeeping.

Jon is survived by his daughters Haven, Swayzie, and Payton Shelton, Mother, Angela Murphy, brother Samual Shelton, and maternal grandmother Kathern Hodges of Lawrence, KS., Sister Megan Monroe and family of Panama City, Fl, Spouse Alia Hughes and sons Michael and Elias of Lawrence, KS.

Jon was preceded in death by his dad Jerry Murphy and his maternal grandfather David Hodges of Lawrence KS.

Jon's celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Warren McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
