John Wolf Obituary

John Franklin Wolf, age 66, of Haviland, Kansas, died January 27, 2012, at Lakewood Senior Center, Pratt Kansas. He was born June 15, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Ross and Davene Wolf. As a kid, John loved to read, play chess, and study martial arts. Throughout his life, John felt it was important to exercise and keep in shape. He graduated from Southeast High School in Wichita in the early 1960?s and then attended Wichita State University. He also spent several years in Clovis, New Mexico where he worked for his brother-in-law, Don Welch, driving trucks and delivering parts to customers. John was diagnosed with mental illness in his 30?s and required medical care for the remainder of his life. Despite all his setbacks, including cancer, he always had a smile, a bear hug, and a cheerful disposition toward everyone. He is survived by a sister, Jeanne Welch; and four nieces, Janet Waugh and her husband, Stan, and children Alex and Jacob, of Stillwater Oklahoma, Vicki Johnson and her husband, Terry, and children, Mark, Michelle, and, Michael, of Lawton, Oklahoma, Terie Judkins and her husband, Michael, and children, Matt, and Todd, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Linda Alamoarzook and her husband, Muhamad, and children Bradley, McKayla, and Kellie of Calgary, Canada.. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin City, Kansas. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lakewood Senior Living Center of Pratt, c/o Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, 325 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
