This space is not long enough to share all the memories of John. He an his family were so nice to me. I went to Lawrence High with John, I had one date with LouAnn (possibly the cutest girl ever) I worked for a short time at Kennedy Glass back in 1978-79 (remembering Boo-Ray games after work in the back warehouse), John was the pitcher for my Slo-pitch softball team, "The Hot Dogs" ( I will not share our team slogans, but we thought they were funny), and he and Sally were great friends to our family. When I was back to help my Dad repair a few things around the house a few years ago, I needed a pane of glass for the bathroom. I hadn't seen John in years and when I went to pay, he insisted it was "on the house". Many other memories, but let me just wrap with, "Sally, Gary, Marty, LouAnn and families, your loss is great, but heavens gain is greater, and John will be watching over all of you!"

Losing John was like losing a brother. We will always have our memories but miss hearing his laughter. Prayers of comfort to his family.

Condolences to the Kennedy family . Johhny was a neighbor on Indiana St . We rode our bikes with our fishing poles to ponds and the Kansas River . I can remember we caught a huge channel cat in a pond across from Hallmark's . I can remember Johnny and Marty were off to the Viet Nam war . Good fella , good citizen , from a good family . RIP John
