We remember Larry with great fondness. He was our "new neighbor" ( or we were his) when we bought our home--across cross the street from the Days--on Holiday Dr. in Lawrence. He was a helpful "touchstone" as we began our careers at KU in 1975. Jim and Rose Lichtenberg

Godspeed dearest Larry Day.

There are not words enough to convey my gratitude for the love and support that I and my son received from Larry--and Chris! What a light! What a noble soul. I've never met anyone who so definitively reflected the countenance of Jesus Christ in his life and in every word and deed. I received wise council from him, I received blessings from him, I received love and generosity from he and Chris--when obstacles arose--his response was always to help, to support--he and I taught together---and THAT is a whole story worth telling one day--To Chris and family---you are in my prayers---tnak you for sharing him with Michael and I. My world is dimmer for his passing but oh the smiles I get whenever I think of Larry Day.

Larry Day was a journalism professor at KU and in Florida, served as a journalist in about every country in South America, wrote with wit and grace, and was an avid servant to his fellow man. He was a great friend to many, often sent on "missions" by his wife Chris to do some nice thing for one person or another. He often signed his emails "Peace." Peace, Larry. :)
