A true innovator who helped millions achieve financial independence, he will be greatly missed. Sending my sincere condolences to his family and friends. May God comfort and give you strength and peace during this difficult time. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Having read much about John Bogle during my research into the name Bogle over the last 30 years I would like to add my condolences to his nearest and dearest.

John was an American icon. I have read about him for many years, including getting acquainted with his background and investment philosophies and recommendations. He was intelligent, articulate, trustworthy and engaging. He impacted tens of millions of people for the good.He always provided sound analysis. His advice was based on simple and uncontroverted facts, and well-reasoned and unbiased opinion. Condolences to his family and business successors.

Jack Bogle's index fund creation made me wealthy. For this I will always be in his debt. My condolences to his family and my thanks for sharing this giant of finance with investors.

Years ago I wrote Mr Bogle to personally thank him for all he has done for so many of us. His books and speeches provided a guide and template to successfully create an investment plan for life and stick to it. "Stay the course" as he would often say. About 3 months after I received a response from him thanking me! I consider him an American Dean of Investing and he was thanking me for my letter! Today his letter is framed and hangs in my family room at home. Like so many others, I will always be grateful. He will be truly missed.

Though I only knew Mr. Jack through his books, I always considered him a close friend. His guidance had a powerful impact on my life for the good. His wisdom was rock solid. He was a giant of a man, and such giants don't come along very often. I'm thankful he did. May his admonitions always guide Vanguard, and may God comfort his immediate family and all of us in his extended "family" as we cope with losing him.

John Bogle will never be forgotten. He was an inspiration to all who understood what he stood for. He was a wise, caring and strong man who looked out for the individual who started with nothing......
