She made their home a happy one, a place of joy, peace and security. Blessed to have a Mom and Dad who truly loved each other, together we laughed, vacationed yearly, played games and lived in a loving home. Mom volunteered with every sport, club and organization where we were involved. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, supporting every event they had over the years. She was a fun loving and classy with a warm personality that drew people to her. She loved dancing, flower arranging, sewing, decorating, playing cards, reading and music; especially Englebert Humperdink, Elvis, Tom Jones and Nana Mouskouri. With a deep faith in the Lord, she endured the hardships of life; orphaned at fourteen, widowed at forty and in her later years, the difficulties of two failed back surgeries, leaving her disabled, and the struggles of COPD, diabetes, CHF and dementia. Over her lifetime she was employed by Bonds Clothing Store and Smythe Buick as a bookkeeper assistant, North Syracuse Central School District as a media/teacher's aide, Cicero Wire Rod and Eagle Comtronics as an account clerk, Affordable Homes as a bookkeeper, as a receptionist for Catholic Charities, Buckley Landing and the Village of North Syracuse and as a clerical assistant for the Town of Cicero 'Young at Heart' Club.
