Five years!
I still think of you often my friend. I recently got together with several of my fellow bartenders from the Jayhawk
Café. We all recalled memories of great times spent with you.

Jessie was like an older brother and protector to me back in the late 80's and early 90's. His smile was contagious and he had a heart of gold. Our friends would go to Los Amigos and he would make sure no one messed with us! I loved him and Victor like brothers. I just recently heard of Jesse's passing as I no longer live in the area. I plan to be in Lawrence with my son in a couple of weeks and will stop to say my prayers at the Memorial. My condolences to the entire del Campo family. But I know that he is keeping everyone in heaven smiling and definitely laughing!

Well, here we are 2019 and wish when I walk into Slo - Ride to see Jesse and his smiling self. Always there to talk , lend a hand or just shoot the breeze a man with a gift...He extended himself to line up good music, rides whatever he thought would please the community. Thought of other people before himself. And the Sunday Taco's he was the Man.. At times the wrong person gets taken but, the other party has to carry that night with them for life . Ride free my friend to Eternal life... Jesus would have been a Biker by Third day "Eagles" Bond servant 007 You tube. Sai jin. Pat.

To the family of Jesse Del Campo Jr., my sympathy on your loss. Had lunch many times while working for the railroad. We would park our locomotive across from the Tropicana and eat. Jessie and his family were very friendly. May he rest in peace.

I knew Jesse as a smiling, quiet presence at SlowRide and most recently as Eliana's Dad at Parent/ Teacher conferences;which is to say, I hardly knew him. Still, I know your loss is huge, and I am so sorry. You are in my thoughts. Khalila Binns

Sorry for your loss of Jesse, I knew him back in 96 and 97 when I was going to Haskell. He was one of the nicest and most respectful men I have ever met. And most handsome I have ever met he always made me laugh and watched out for me at LA's. He will be dearly missed I wish I would have came back to Kansas to see him.

Jessie was always Friendly and super nice! although he wanted only Stephanie to cut his hair he occasionally would let me do it. always making me smile. he will be greatly missed

You will be missed greatly. You have left a hole in a lot of peoples life. You were rich in friends and lived life to the fullest. You were taken from us in a single breath but will live on in our hearts forever.

Jessie will be missed by more people than anybody can imagine .my deepest sympathy to the Del campo family. I have so many good memories of Jessie and myself while I was running the Jayhawk Cafe. When I got married and the bar tab ran out he move the entire wedding party to his place. This was the kind of man he was. I have been thinking about Jessie all day and my heart hurts for him and his family .
