Jerry Clark Obituary

Jerry Wayne Clark, age 53 of Wellsville, KS passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Roscoe, SD while on a pheasant hunting trip with family and friends. Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Wilson's Funeral Home in Wellsville, Kansas. Visitation will be 4-7PM, Friday evening, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Overbrook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pheasants Forever, in care of Wilson's, PO Box 486, Wellsville, Kansas 66092. Jerry Wayne Clark was born November 6, 1970 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Jerry and Lois Elaine (Fiene) Clark. He grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, one of 3 children. He attended Lawrence High School and graduated in May of 1989. Jerry worked as an electrician for facilities and operations at the University of Kansas for 23 years. He was currently an electrician for BNSF Railway and has been with them for 10 years. He was a member in good standing with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, IBEW. On March 18, 2009, he married Regina Lea Steutermann in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives at the home in Wellsville. Jerry was a member of the IBEW Local #959, Pheasants Forever, and was an avid hunter. He loved to derby in his younger years, enjoyed car shows, Coors Light and spending time with his family and friends. Jerry loved classic cars and antiques such as pedal cars and tractors. He enjoyed camping and float trips with friends and family, Sunday afternoon cruises on his motorcycle, and helping anyone with any type of project, big or small. If Jerry wasn't lending a hand to a family member or friend, you could find him hanging out in his shop, garage door up, always open for company to stop by and have a beer. Classic sayings from Jerry included "Love ya lots", "Here's the deal", "Hey kiddo", "Hey bud", "Hey sis", and most infamously, "Love ya, later, bye." Jerry is survived by his wife of the home; son, Lane Michael Clark (Hannah) of Overbrook, KS; daughter, Megan Marie Clark of Lawrence, KS; daughter, Natalie Rose Patton (Kyle) of Wellsville; son, Zachary Ryan Steutermann of Overland Park; father, Jerry Lee Clark of Eudora; sister, Brenda Welsh (Derek), of Lawrence; brother, Toby Clark (Charity) of Valley Center, KS; brother, Jerry Courtney (Kristin) of Eudora, KS; brother, Larry Courtney (Cora) of Eudora, KS; Uncle, Joe Clark (Liz) of Shawnee, KS; mother in law Rose Starling of Gardner, KS; 5 grandchildren: Harper, Bella, Juli, Kade and Kash; nephews and nieces: Dalton, Maise, and Magdalene. Jerry is preceded in death by grandparents Sam and Bonnie Clark of Tonganoxie, KS; grandparents George and Mary Fiene of Lawrence, KS; mother Lois Elaine Clark of Lawrence, KS; mother Jackie Clark of Eudora, KS.

I remember Jerry's smile. I always thought he was a very good-looking kid. MY husband worked at F & O with him, that's how I met him. Prayers to his family.
