Jeanette Davies Obituary

Jeanette Davies, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at home in Sun City, AZ surrounded by her husband and children.

She was born in Deerfield, NY, on November 13, 1937, the daughter of Robert Murray and Anne Gray Murray Edgbert. She graduated as Valedictorian from Remsen Central High School in 1955.

Jan worked at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY and later worked and retired from Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company after 37 years. She married Marvin Davies in 1956 in Remsen, NY. After retirement, Jan and Marv moved to Lawrence, KS to be near their grandchildren, Jaclyn and Dane. Jan adored being a grandmother and spent countless hours with both of them. Jan and Marv then moved to Sun City, AZ where the family enjoyed many holidays and memories together, the best of which always included Jan's home cooked meals and pies.

Jan is survived by her husband, Marv; daughters Anne (Ray) Williams, Sun City, AZ and Donna McCullough, Lawrence, KS; son John (Jen), Lawrence, KS; granddaughter Jaclyn (Alex) McCullough Jeschke; grandson Dane (Savana) McCullough; brother Ronald "Barney" Murray; and sister Pat Johnson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, and best friend Pat Ormond.

Due to COVID-19, no funeral services will be held. Burial services will be held at a later date in Fairchild Cemetery in Remsen, NY. If anyone has stories or messages to share with the family, cards can be sent to Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N 103rd Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351.
