Rasmussen, Janet (Burdick) 85, of Marshfield, February 8th 2015 passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family at Proprietors Green of Marshfield. Beloved Wife of the late George A. Rasmussen, loving sister of Lois and her husband Ed Young, sister Karen and husband Tom Illingworth, the late Mary Lynn Stewart, daughter of the late John N. Burdick and Bernadette (Fitzgerald) Burdick, dear Mother of Charlotte M. Rasmussen of Marshfield, Neil M. Rasmussen and his wife Stephanie of Lawrence Kansas, Mark Rasmussen and wife Iani Moreno of Beverly, loving grandmother of Michael and Nicholas Rees, Eli Rasmussen and Abby Wilson. Janet was born in Buffalo New York where she attended Case Western Reserve receiving her Bachelor's degree with distinction and where she met her beloved husband George. Janet and George moved to Westwood Massachusetts in 1969 where they raised their children and developed many dear lifelong friendships. They then moved to Lawrence Kansas where Janet continued her education at the University of Kansas and graduated at the top of her class with a Masters in Occupational Therapy. They then moved to Hillsborough North Carolina where Janet worked 10 fulfilling years as an occupational therapist to the schoolchildren of Orange County, and created dear friendships through her affiliation with Holy Family Church. A wake and memorial service will be held on Saturday February 14th, 2015 at 10 am at MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield Massachusetts.
