For me - and many other neighborhood kids - the Halloran house was a second home. Mrs. Halloran entertained us, provided us with snacks & drinks, and made sure we were safe. Oh, and she kept us honest, too. It was a different time - and it was great. I will always cherish those memories. Thank you, Mrs. Halloran.

To the Halloran family -

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom, but now she and your dad are back together as a couple once more. My parents were Raymond and Marie Koehler - you may remember me! Your mom died on what would have been my mom's 95th Birthday.

Your folks were both wonderful to me as I was growing up, and I cherish the friendships from my Potwin family.
I didn't see the obituary until this evening but we were out of town most of today anyway! Hugs and prayers...

Janet took me under her wing when I first arrived in Topeka 30 years ago. She was one of the sweetest, kindest ladies I've ever known. I just thought of her the other night & her loving words of encouragement. My condolences go to her family.
