James Hopson Obituary
July 11, 1964 – February 23, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Michael Hopson on February 23, 2025, at the age of 60. James was a devoted husband, a loving son, a caring brother, and a cherished uncle. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
James is survived by his beloved wife, Chalaine (Shelly) Hopson, and his loving mother, Delores Hopson. He is also survived by his brothers, Scott (Tina) Hopson, Bob (Melissa) Hopson, and Kurt (Patricia) Hopson, his sister in-laws, Cheri (Danny) Heinz and Christen Harper. James was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces, Jillian Hopson, Morgan (Matt) Salinas, Makenzie, Emma, Aubrie Sandburg, Evie Lynn Hayes and his nephews, Bo Hopson, Dylan (Daniella) Hopson, Alec Hopson and Braden (Marissa) Hays, who will always carry his memory in their hearts.
James's life was defined by his deep love for his family, his unwavering kindness, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of his life will be held in May, in / or around Eudora, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Cure PSP in his memory. WWW.PSP.ORG
Though he is no longer physically with us, James's love, laughter, and legacy will remain in our hearts forever.

My husband and I met Gym and Shelly at our HOA pool and we have always thought he was a great person and a good friend and a lot of fun. We had good times together and we will miss him. Love you Shelly

My sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers to Jims family and friends. He was my good friend and client for many years, I have many fond memories of fun times. Jim was always there to lend a hand when you needed him. I'am so lucky to have known him. Rest in Peace ol buddy. Thank You for being such a good friend. You will never be forgotten.
