Jacob Jaap Obituary

Jacob Eugene Thunder Jaap, 43, of Oskaloosa, KS died March 10, 2022. He was born June 27, 1978, the son of Mark Ed Jaap and Darrel Jane McMillan. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1997, he later graduated from Beloit Technical College as a heavy equipment operator, working for excavating companies and then starting his own successful company "Jacob's Excavating Co.". He was a "smooth" operator. He loved to ride his Harley on long or short trips. He was a country boy with the finest collection of friends a man could have. He NEVER said no to the people who needed help, He was an amazing gentleman with compassion towards others and a heart of gold. Survivors include his parents both of Oskaloosa, one son, Gage Thunder Jaap, two daughters, Ashton Jeni Marie (Nic) Jaap, Summer Breeze Renee Jaap, all of Oskaloosa. Three Grandchildren, Sophia Jaap, Willow & Haizley Branam, his beloved brother Isaac Meriwether (Sherry) Jaap, of Oskaloosa, and his partner in life Cassie Gumbel with her daughter Madison Kay. Cremation is planned, with memorial gathering to be announced by the family at a later time. Memorials made be made to BACA "Bikers Against Child Abuse" and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home PO Box 602, Oskaloosa KS 66066
