Jack W. Wilson “loved by all”
HEBRON, Pa.---Jack W. Wilson, 72, a lifelong resident of Hebron, passed away with his loving family by his side on Saturday, December 24, 2022, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on Tuesday, April 18, 1950 in Coudersport, he was a son of James E. and Delores V. Gilbert Wilson. On March 22, 1974 in Coudersport, he married Sharon K. Wright, who survives.
Jack attended Coudersport High School, where he was an active member of the FFA.
Jack was a self-employed truck driver and had also worked in his family’s trucking business. He had also been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator and a heavy equipment operator instructor. After retiring from PennDOT, he was a Hebron Township supervisor.
He was member of Eulalia Lodge #342 F. & A.M. in Coudersport and a member of the Coudersport Consistory. Jack enjoyed spending time outdoors. His love for his land and equipment was evident. Everything he did, he did with passion. Jack spent countless hours mowing and excavating. He loved many family pets over the years and enjoyed feeding his goldfish in the pond he built. He loved many things, but his greatest love was his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years; two daughters, Crystal L. Wilson-Morales and Billie J. (Richard Jr.) Sheehy, both of Coudersport; five grandchildren, Derek, Brandon, Courtney, Keelin, and Wyatt; four great-grandchildren, Bryson, Paisleigh, Brynnlee, and Braylee; and three siblings, Thomas E. (Ruth) Wilson and Jess (Patty) Wilson, both of Coudersport, and James (Bonnie) Wilson of Shongo, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by a sister, Norma Jean Bagwell.
Family and friends may call from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Hebron Seventh Day Baptist Church, 13 E. Carley Hill Road, Roulette, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 6pm with Pastor Steve Hinton, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hebron Seventh Day Baptist Women’s Group, 13 E. Carley Hill Road, Roulette, PA 16746; to Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915; or to the Christmas House, PO Box 716, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Jack’s family has entrusted his care and cremation arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
