So sorry to here of Jack's passing. I remember him from when he had the store on 9th Street. I was just a kid then and I would go in to buy candy and eat at the Hole in the Wall deli. He was always so nice to me and used to tease me. He always made time to talk to me. I have fond memories of those times.

Jack`s mother was my dads cousin. hadn`t seen Jack since he worked at a business here off 9th street many years ago. I remember when he had Allen`s drive inn. So sorry to hear of his passing. My sister Fern used to see him more often than I did but always enjoyed visits with him. she passed away on June 25 1985. my heartfelt sympathy to his family. Faye

My deepest regrets to you and your family. I do not know if we are related somewhare back, but my dad, Fred Sr was born in Blackwell OK, his father was John Thomas Whitehead, originally of Anhony KS. I live in Lawrence, three sons, Fred III, John and Matt. My cousin Sherry Glover lives in Edmond. Sherry and my son Matt are keeping a geneology record of the family that my dad started years ago.
Were you any relation to William Whitehead, a former scout leader in Lawrence? He was a distant cousin of ours. I grew up in Lawton, OK.
I am in the phone book and you may call, we are keeping a geneology record of our family. Again, my deepest regrets, and sorrow for your loss. Fred R. Whitehead Jr.

Jack is a wonderful example of christian love. I am flooded with fond memories of your husband, father and grandpa. Always the gentle-man but strong for doing the right things in life. i am thankful for the years our family had with your family. Now he has joined the "cloud of witnesses" to encourage us all to finish strong.
