Isabelle Erichsen Obituary
A visitation for Isabelle 'Issy' Erichsen, 98, Lawrence, will be Tuesday from 7-8 pm at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Mrs. Erichsen died Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Brandon Woods at Alvamar. Graveside services will be at 1 pm Wednesday in White City, Kan.
She was born June 20, 1916, in White City, the daughter of James Edward and Myrtle Marie Weirich Warneke. She graduated from high school in White City. She was a homemaker, and had worked as a seamstress and a beautician. Issy was a member of the Council Grove Methodist Church, and the Clown Club of Lawrence.
She married Emil John Erichsen on June 8, 1938, in Junction City, Kan. He preceded her in death in 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jimmy Erichsen, a brother, Lawrence Warneke, a sister Udene Lassetter, and a great grandson, Jesse Lee Peterson.
Survivors include a daughter, LeMyra Allen, Lawrence; two grandchildren, Deb Peterson and husband Duane, Lawrence, and Dan Allen and wife Cathy, Naples, Fl; four great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, and five nieces.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The Dream Factory, in care of the funeral home, 601 Indiana St., Lawrence, KS, 66044.

Issy was a wonderful lady. She loved her ice cream, always had a smile on her face when I would bring it to her! She will be greatly missed here at Brandon Woods. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time.
