He is survived by the love of his life, LuAnn Sanderson, sharing 21 years together, and their sweetie-pups Rosco, Dinky, and Buddy.
Inder was an aerospace engineer at Rockwell International. Inder's most significant project in US Aerospace was to plot the precise course for NASA's orbiter shuttle to safely re-enter the earth's atmosphere and ensure thermal protection. After his years of dedication to aerospace, he developed a second career in IT systems administration where he worked for Ocean View School District in Huntington Beach, California as the systems administrator. He served and was appreciated by the administration, faculty, staff and students alike. He also worked for the US district courts of Los Angeles division where he designed and implemented the IT network system for the new federal courthouse.
Throughout Inder's life he developed a keen engineering interest. As a child growing up in India, he created most of his own toys. He designed and built paper sailboats to play in the puddles and rubberband powered trucks and cars. His most treasured toy was a TWA model superjet airplane that was a gift to him from his older brother. By his young teenage years, he helped his father, Surjan, and older brother, Dev, build a car that became their family vehicle. In his early adult life, after immigrating to America, he progressed to build his own car. He purchased and assembled his first automobile that came as a frame on wheels with cardboard boxes of parts. The passion of engineering his Volkswagon continued in his endeavors and interests with diesel engines, locomotive trains, his 1979 Honda Trail 70 motorcyle, military trucks, and turbine engines, specifically his piper turbo arrow IV. On October 27th, 1979, Inder began flight instruction and his dream of flying lead to an accomplished 20,428 hours of flight time. He made his last flight December 28th, 2024.
