As a kid it was rather daunting to be around Helen, as a teacher and state PTA president. She seemed like a 'super teacher'! The cousins all had great fun together, many stories of many Bowling reunions, like this one in Missouri in 1936. Can you find Helen? My mom Bertha Holt is standing in front of her. My thoughts and prayers are with Helen's family.

Many fond memories over the years of visits to Illinois every August for many years. Those famous Bowling Reunions and the written and telephone support to my family when Karol Jane was ill and then again when my mother Austa was ill for so many months. God's Blessings have given you peace and will comfort those you leave behind until that day when all will be together again. Marthanna (Marty) Cowley Laughlin, Davenport Ia

I didn't get to know Helen well as we lived to far from each other and family reunions just aren't enough to get to know anyone. She will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers to Helens Family. She was my friend, neighbor, surragate "mom",and many things to many people at Cedar Lakes condos. Helen loved people. SHe would make Cappucino and the BEST Choc chip cookies ever! We went to Shocker Baseball together. Everyone at WSU loved Helen too. She did so much for so many. God Bless her.
