Harold Twigg Obituary

Harold Alvin Twigg of Woodland, CA passed away May 18th, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He was 78 years old. Harold was born in Nevada, MO to Wayne Twigg and Alice "Veva" Twigg. He attended high school in Baldwin, KS., where he met his high school sweetheart, Linda. Harold and Linda married September 9, 1960 and raised 3 sons together, Harold, Rex and Jeff.

Harold and Linda moved to Lawrence, KS where they owned a service station and auto repair business and a U-Haul rental dealership. They lived and worked in Lawrence until their move to Woodland in 1982. Shortly after moving, they started a truck repair business with their son, Harold Jr. Harold worked in the Truck repair business until he retired in 2000.

Harold loved baseball. He coached Little League Baseball in Woodland for several years and umpired a few games. Later he enjoyed going to grandson, Brian's, games and maintained a close relationship with many of the kids he coached. He was especially a fan of the KC Royals and KC Chiefs and could always be found in front of the TV when a game was on. He enjoyed long drives in the countryside and was crazy about the color yellow.

Harold was a kind and generous man. He was always there to help anybody in need. His generosity impacted many people.

Harold was a proud member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and attended the annual Family Reunions "Pow wow" in Oklahoma whenever he was able.

Harold was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother John "Jay" Wayne Twigg, sister Karmin Jean McCrory, daughter Diana Marie, son Rex Eugene and his beautiful wife Linda. He leaves behind his son Harold and daughter-in-law Laura Taylor of Placerville, CA, son Jeff and daughter-in-law Jill of Lake Havasu City, AZ, grandson Brian and granddaughter-in-law Dana and great grandson's Ellis and Emmitt of West Sacramento, grandson Ryan of Placerville, daughter-in-law Nicole Anderson and grandchildren Josh, Joey and Jade and great grandson Jaeger.

A gravesite service will be held at Monument Hill in Woodland on May 26th at 10:30. . Flowers may be sent to McNary's Chapel, 458 College St, Woodland, CA 95695.
