Hard to believe it´s been 10 years already. Leary Powell and I were just reminiscing about our time working with Gordon the other day. He was one of the best people I ever worked for.
He was a true blessing as a co-worker and friend.
Wishing the family nothing but the best of joyful memories today.
Sincerely,
Mark Mellor

Although I didn't know Gordon a long time, it didn't take very long to know he was a special man. We had discussions about his service to our country, community, and most of all his church and Lord. I was a John Deere Parts Express driver for Gordon and really enjoyed working for him. I delivered to " the boys " and their new John Deere dealership several times. He was very proud of them and his entire family. I am sure Gordon was the best at everything he did. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family and friends. God Bless !

Many a day, there were a few of us that often shared a "late lunch" together in the back break room of the former Kansas City Branch. With each day came funnier stories than the previous, along with Gordon's infectious laugh! It was never long before we all were laughing and enjoying the moment (which would explain why we always retreated to the "back" break room)! Thank you Gordon for sharing your caring nature, calming spirit, and a legacy of kindness you left with us all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Gordo was my first official boss at John Deere. As a part time college student I was assigned to Gordon to pick up trash in the office, sweep and buff the floors, clean the restrooms and all sorts of fun jobs. He was such a great boss and a truly great friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always in a good mood. He was definitely one of the 'good guys' at John Deere. He will be truly missed. My condolences to the family.

I was lucky enough to work with Gordon for a few years before he retired. What a nice and hard working man he was - with that soothing voice and always a ready smile. Saddened to hear of his death. Prayers to the family.

I met this guy when he was the nighttime broom pusher at the John Deere Branch. He was a man with a plan: push that broom good enough and somebody will notice and you will get somewhere. That plan worked for him because he worked it with diligence. And he was recognized and got his first real John Deere Co. job starting in the warehouse scheduling office, then he was moved into the office where he continued to progress, and with each job he moved up in position, broadening the confidence in himself and building on the trust, respect and love, yes love, of his fellow employees. Gordon was a quiet man, a humble man with a fun wit and a great sense of humor. I feel honored to have worked with him and blessed to have had him as a friend. He will be missed.

Gordon was a great man and a very generous man in the ways he helped others. He was always very kind to me when I moved to begin working at John Deere's KC Branch in 1983. He always had a ready smile and a good sense of humor. I have been privileged to keep up on news about Gordon as his daughter-in-law Nichole is my hair stylist. An appointment never goes by that we didn't talk about Gordon. He obviously was a great father-in-law too. My condolences to the entire Reynolds family and all of Gordon's friends. He has left a great legacy in his family. Best Regards,
Bob
