Glenn was born on May 17, 1924 in Studley, KS, the son of William Everett and Lucinda "Lucye" Belle (Wilcox) Price. He found the love of his life, Esther Lillian (Salonimer) in 1952 and they were married on January 4, 1953. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 4, 2018. Esther preceded him in death on January 12, 2018.

Glenn graduated from Lincoln High School, in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1942. He received further education at Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa and at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. His Bachelor of Arts degree was received in 1951 (Liberal Arts: Speech/Broadcasting) and his Master of Arts (Speech: Broadcasting) degree was completed in 1959.

During World War II, Glenn enlisted in the Navy on March 15, 1943 and received an honorable discharge on April 11, 1946. He was a Quartermaster Second Class and went overseas in the Pacific on two occasions, serving on amphibious vessels. His military service gave him the opportunity to go to college on the GI Bill following the war.

Glenn retired in 1989 as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas and served as the Assistant Chairman of the Department of Speech and Drama. His career began in 1952 when he was one of seven original employees at KANU radio station in Lawrence. His wife, Esther, was also one of the original 7. Glenn worked at the radio station 14 years before becoming a full-time member of the University of Kansas faculty.

Some of his volunteer activities included serving on the board of the Christian Counseling Center of Lawrence, participating in the Free Methodist Church as Sunday School teacher, missions committee member, and leading the Primetimers group. He and Esther also led small group Bible studies in their home for many years. After retirement, Glenn enjoyed driving cancer patients to their appointments. Glenn was beloved by all who knew him. He was known by his class, sense of humor, soft heart, and ability to lighten any situation.

Glenn offered counseling to me in the early 70's when I was a KU Speech & Drama student. At the time he had an office in the Department of Speech & Drama. I thought it was highly unusual due to the duties of Professor Price. I am eternally grateful to him for his advice in guiding me through a stressful time in my life. He will remain forever in my mind as a good, kind hearted, honest & spiritual man.
