I am very saddened to learn of Paul´s passing. Even though I am a geologist, my research and teaching overlapped with petroleum engineering. He educated me in that field, substantially improving my classes in both petroleum engineering and geology. He was a positive contributor on the several committees on which we both served. He was an extremely valuable colleague on a number of successful research projects. I was privileged to participate in TORP both as a researcher and as a long-time member of the TORP Advisory Board. His founding and his enduring and successful leadership of TORP, with Don Green, made a remarkable contribution to the oil industry in Kansas and provided a model for improving the technology of the domestic oil and gas industry. He is missed.
I very much regret that I will be unable to attend the memorial service on December 22. Please accept my condolences.
