Geraldine Jones

Geraldine Jones, 89, Kansas City, KS, died Monday May 26, 2014 at her home.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Friday May 30, 2014 at the Tonganoxie Christian Church. The family received friends an hour before at the church.

Geraldine was born February 12, 1925 in Miller County, MO, the daughter of Roy and Bessie Snelling Weeks. She was a Registered Nurse. She was united in marriage to Gurtus Jones on May 12, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2000.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Sherrie) Jones, Kansas City, KS, and Robin (Cindy) Jones, Tonganoxie, KS; two daughters, Judy (Gary) Mock, Oskaloosa, KS and Becky (Dan) Hill Doniphan, MO; sisters, Imogene Morrow, Bradenton, FL and Esther Henley, Kansas City, KS; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the Tonganoxie Christian Church or to the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop.

I enjoyed working at the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop with Gerry for many years - plus visiting with her at garage sales later on -- We'll miss her. Edie Mongold
