A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:00 am at the Holy Family Catholic Church at 820 Birch Street in Eudora. Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.

Jay was born January 18, 1917 in Eudora, the son of Albert and Clara (Schehrer) Grosdidier, the eldest of seven children. He was preceded in death by his son Ronnie, and siblings Herbert, Rosemary, Arthur, Bernard, and Magdalene. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Helen Lorraine (Taylor), his sister Arlene Krizman (Richard), his sons Kenneth (Connie Lovsky), and Don (Mary), and daughter-in-law Marilyn Lindeen (Bob), sister-in-laws Mary and Agnes, six grandchildren Chris (Fran), Steve, Matt, Jennifer (Miles Neiffer), Catherine, and Megan, five great-grandchildren Haley (Nate Ward), Claire, Zach, Noah, Karter, and Kaden, and one great-great-grandchild Parker.

Throughout his life Jay was involved in agriculture. He farmed and raised cattle in Douglas County, and was the longtime proprietor of the Kaw Valley Implement Company, a Ford Tractor dealership in Lawrence. He was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora.

The family suggests memorials in Jay's name for the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Holy Family Catholic Church building fund, Trinity In-Home Health Care, or the Eudora Schools Foundation.
