Georgia Johnson Obituary

Georgia Millender Johnson, 86, of Orlando, WV went home to be with her lord on Saturday February 27th 2021 in St Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born in Huntington, WV on August 24th, 1934; daughter of the late Alfred Franklin Millender and Ruth (Hagan) Millender. On July 21st 1956 she married Dr. Charles E Johnson, who survives.

She is also survived by 1 son: Dr. Christopher Millender Johnson and wife Cynthia of Lawrence, KS, 1 daughter: Dr. Michele Johnson Mann of Alamosa, CO and 6 grandchildren: Andrew and Michael Mann, Kaitlyn, Madelyn, Charles, and Nicholas Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Home Economics from West Virginia University. She was also a member of Mortar Board and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Early on she taught school but later she became a homemaker. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church of Georgetown, TX where she was very active. She was also very involved in Girl Scouts, from her own Curved Bar Award (now Gold Award) to being a Troop Leader. Family and friends were central in her life. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
