Jon and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I had the absolute honor to work for Francis Sporting goods for 6 years and always loved when George and Carol came in to visit. We always shared a good laugh! You all will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Both George and Carol(Buhler)were great Lawrence citizens. They contributed generously to the history and vibrancy of downtown. Godspeed.

Jon, Jay, Wendy and April. Jon, sorry to hear about Geo. So many great memories at your house with Geo and Carol and down at the store. Road tripping for baseball, so many memories I could not even begin to list them. They were truly like a second family growing up and I loved them both. I love you brother, I hope the entire family finds peace in knowing he's hanging with God!

We are so sorry for your loss. Geroge and Carol were very dedicated to downtown Lawrence and helped support it's viability as did the entire Francis family.

Wendy, April, Jay and Jon, I am so sorry to read of your father's passing. He was a wonderful man. I know he has joined your mother and they are together again.
When my mom died someone said to me. "No one is really gone as long as they are remembered." Your parents will always live in your memories and in the memories of all who knew them. I know you have lots of good memories; treasure them.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

April, Wendy, and Francis family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. George was always so friendly, he will be greatly missed. My mother, Virginia Williams, enjoyed having George and Carol as her Brandon Woods neighbors for four years.

George, and his wife Carol, were the warmest hearted people I've ever known. When I joined OWWC, it was George and Carol that welcomed me like an old friend. George loved everyone, and that kindness is clearly reflected in the great kids he raised. Kudos to George, and thanks for being my friend. BV
