Gay Rofkahr Obituary

Gaylene "Gay" Rofkahr, 91, Hanover, KS, died Oct. 25 at Hanover.

Visitation: Wed., Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hanover Mortuary. Funeral: 10 a.m., Thurs., Oct. 31 at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover.

Gay was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Lawrence to John and Hattie (Roper) Kennedy. In 1951, she graduated from Liberty Memorial High School and worked at the Lawrence Paper Company. She was a long-time member of Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her children, Diana Sedlacek, Vickie Hilpert, Doyle Gerard, Darrin Gerard, Steve Rofkahr and David Rofkahr, sister-in-law, Jackie Kennedy, Lawrence; 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren.

My condolences go out to all the family of Gay (I think I remember calling her Frieda?). I always loved to.hear her laugh! I remember her being strict but very loving to her children. She was a.great Lady. I know you all will !is her very much.
