Gary VanNortwick
Gary VanNortwick 80, McLouth, KS., passed away Thurs., May 31st at Lawrence Memorial Hospital from cardiac arrest.

He was born Sept. 19, 1937 in Marysville KS. He was the son of Cecil & Alice VanNortwick.

He resided in the Oskaloosa and McLouth area for 34 years. He was employed by Holton Coop and Lawrence Coop for about 5 years each. He then went to work for Dick Edmonson Co., and he worked there until his passing. He was also a farmer for over 30 years.

He was married to his wife Darlyne for 41 years. He had one step-daughter Kristine Dick (Jerry); his brothers Larry (Kay), Jay (Melody); and a sister Kay VanNortwick.

He was preceded in death by his wife Darlyne and his parents Cecil & Alice VanNortwick. At his request he chose to be cremated. Thank you to Midwest Cremation Society, Inc., Topeka, KS., for their services.

A graveside service will be held for Gary on Sat., June 16th at 10:30 am at Holton Cemetery in Holton, KS., for his family and friends. Memorial contributions may be be made to the Lawrence Humane Society.

I had known Gary for many many years. He always would go out of his way to help any one in anyway that he could. RIP old friend. You will be missed by many...

Gary was a great guy. He would try to help anyone. We really miss the little guy and Reba too. R.I.P. Gary.
