Gary Devin Obituary
A Celebration of the life of Gary Dale Devin, 79, will be held on Saturday June 21st, 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Junction City. Visitation will be held Friday 6:00pm-8:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, 203 N. Washington Street. Mr. Devin passed away June 13, 2014. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Devin Scholarship Memorial in care of the Geary Community Schools Foundations, 900 N. Eisenhower Dr., Junction City, KS 66441. Gary was born October 17, 1934 in Oklahoma. After graduating from Junction City High School, he worked in Lawrence as a wood-flooring craftsman. Gary earned a BS from ESU and a MS from Kansas State University. Gary taught in the Junction City High School for 17 years before leaving teaching to pursue various business interests including real estate construction and development. Gary is survived by his wife and four sons, Doug and Mark of Junction City, and Eric "Andy" (JoAnn) and Dan (Samrie) of Lawrence, KS; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, his mother, two sisters, and a brother.
