Chuck was my son Ethan Brown DOCTOR AND HE LOVED HIM. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.

The world lost a great man. I am honored to have the chance to know Dr. Loveland and have him as my families Pediatrician. I knew him through work also, we always had great small talk conversations through the years. I regret not having a chance to try his Pizza. My personal memories of him will never be forgotten and every time go into Einstein Brothers I will always think of him.

To the incredibly beautiful Loveland family....God's blessings are with you. To enjoy life with such a man of integrity is a gift beyond words....thank you for sharing this gift with all of us. His caring spirit will remain with us through heartfelt thoughts, love and prayers always.

Dr. Loveland took care of our for 18 years. He care about the children. My son liked him so much and he will be missed. We are so sorry for you loss. He was a great person.

We will miss you so much; my kids didn't want to move on to non-peds/pcp doctor when they grew up. We love you and have great memories of seeing you as a doctor and as a community member involved in giving!

So sorry to hear of Dr. Loveland passing away. He was our children's physician when they were growing up. Mary, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.He will be missed.

There is certainly a special place in heaven for Dr. Loveland and will always be a special place in my heart for him. Over 35 years ago he saved my daughter, Lori Endres, life when I was visiting Lawrence and 7 1/2 months pregnant. She is now almost 37 and I still thank him for what he did.

Mary and family, I remember when the Loveland family moved to Riley,Ks. Chuck was a year ahead of me in school but we shared many fun memories both at school and at youth group.Special thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Loveland was an extraordinary physician. He possessed all the traits needed to be a great doctor, always happy and taking the time to answer questions. The family was so fortunate to have Chuck as a loving husband to Mary and a wonderful father to his children. He will be missed by many.

Dr. Loveland won my respect at work when he was willing to use his lunch hour to consult with a team of mental health workers and in-home nurses to staff a child's complex needs. Then when becoming our pediatrician he came to the hospital on a holiday to check on my newborn and to tell us that she was unexpectedly born with a developmental disability. His compassion and grace in breaking the news to us was remarkable, calming, and greatly appreciated. He was very supportive of our family every time medical issues surfaced. He made some of the parental struggles that we have faced just a little easier.

And his willingness to see all of the Shelter foster children was just one more gift he gave to Lawrence. He was appreciated and will be missed.

So sorry to hear about Dr. Loveland's passing. He was always a pleasant person and a great doctor. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

In all the years we worked together, Mary, I did not know Chuck well but I knew your strong affection for him. I heard only good things about him. I am shocked at his early death.

Dr. Loveland was the doctor for our three daughters. He always welcomed us with a smile. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Loveland was our son Zachary's physician and he was such a wonderful and caring doctor. Our family has very fond memories of him. Please accept our condolences.

Mary, Chuck was our pediatrician when we first moved back from San Diego in 1983. One night he called Marvin Bredehoft in the middle of the night and had him meet me at Medical Arts pharmacy so we could get my son started on an antibiotic. He will be missed but never forgotten.

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Chuck's passing. We have fond memories of lunches and coming out to share in some of the yard work as you were building the house, and the pleasure Chuck got from all of the activity involved in that venture.

Only knew Dr. Loveland a short time before he retired. He made me and my wife feel confident as first time parents. His lost will be felt by many.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Loveland was my doctor from the time I was born through high school. He was always such a caring and friendly person and a wonderful doctor. My thoughts are with you in this hard time.

To the family of Dr. Charles Loveland, I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Chuck was with all four of my children. When I had my last they were twin boys Doc would always say how's my little chuck doing? when I would take the boys for a check up. I think he thought I named one of my sons after him. We would always smile and laugh at that. He was a wonderful person, doctor, friend, father and he will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with Mary and the children. may you find peace and comfort. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Loveland's passing. I was in the 9am choir at St. Lawrence from 1994-97 and I remember your family well, in fact that choir was indeed a family. More recently, Dr. Loveland was our pediatrician for all 3 of our sons. They are saddened as well. May God bless and keep all of you in this time. I am so very sorry--the world has lost a true gem.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Dr.Loveland. He always had a way to make my kids smile even when they weren't feeling well. He truly made an impact on the people he came into contact with. Thank you for allowing us to experience that.

My condolences on your loss. Dr. Loveland was all of my children's doctor and he was in the room when my youngest was born. He was a wonderful man and doctor and we miss him. His patient rooms were always filled with pictures of his family, so it was like they were always with him. My kids all adored him, as did I. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Dr. Loveland was my daughter Kimi's pediatrician and she she till talks about what a kind and gentle doctor he was. We were very sorry to hear of his passing and want you to know what a positive impact he made on her life. Our prayers are with your family at this difficult time.

Dr. Loveland was the pediatrician to all three of our kids, and we were so lucky to have him. He was always calm, intelligent, up-to-date on issues and approaches, compassionate and sensible. He helped us through a bevy of medical issues, and I always felt like we were in the best possible hands under his care. I'm so sorry that he doesn't have years, decades even, after retirement to enjoy his life, and I send all manner of comfort and peace to his family and close friends. I can't believe what I'd just read im so sadded by it I have been patient of his since birth&he could take my humare w/a grain of salt I CAN'T believe it

"Chuck" was a dear friend to my brother, Leo Schrey, and it gives me comfort to know they are together sharing KU stories in the peace of the hereafter. I know they are having good laughs and enjoying the Royals in the World Series. My sympathy to you Mary and your family. Linda and Leo "Skip" were very fond of all of you.

I am so shocked to read about Chuck. He has meant so much to so many families and to our community, it's impossible to express what a loss his passing is. Chuck doctored all 4 Wasson children through delivery into teenage and they loved Dr. Chuck!
We will miss his happy countenance, his wise advice and his many contributions to Lawrence. I'll be praying for you all through this season of mourning. Love, Barb

When we moved to Lawrence in 1996, we asked our realtor, Dennis Snodgrass, to recommend a pediatrician for our boys (then aged 4 and 9). His suggestion to see Dr. Loveland proved to be perfect. As a mom, I always especially liked the pictures in the waiting rooms of his children at various ages. Our family sends its prayers and thanks for many years of Dr Loveland's care and guidance. When my daughter Libby was six weeks old she became ill with an unexplained fever. She had been born prematurely and didn't even weight six pounds yet. We were terrified. Dr. Loveland had a wonderful calming effect on everyone and took wonderful care of her. I'm sure there are thousands such stories, but what a wonderful thing to know how much he helped the children of this community and their families.
