Fredrick Aldrich Obituary
A pianist and flute player, Fred also sold Steinway pianos, worked as a chimney sweep (complete with top hat and tails), and imported art from Asia. Fred published five novels. A master carpenter, he built a three-story tower on his property. He was a close friend of author William S. Burroughs, hosting notable cultural figures at his property in Perry. He was never without a canine companion and would tell you each one was the love of his life. Fred was known for colorful stories of his extensive travels and adventures, and he will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was always a kind and wonderful man, who always made a point to remember our names I meant him through my work and always enjoyed our conversations, though they were always brief. The stories of his life always seemed so interesting. I will miss the those. Prayers and positive thoughts to his family.

Fred was a very kind man. Great storyteller! As Fred was not only one of my neighbors in the section at Perry, he was also a friend. My brother Mark told of a time during major drifting of snow on the gravel road a ramp was built to clear a large drift and they escaped Fred's driveway so they could go to town. Memories will live on for the rest of my life.
