Catherine and Stephen, the memorial service could not have been better. The back and forth personal reminiscences about Lilian and Fred were so well done, as were the readings by the boys. Wonderful choice of music. Dick and I were sorry not to be able to join. you at the Cider Gallery. We know things were difficult these last few years and we are grateful that Lilian and Fred had such loving care from you, Catherine, especially, and the entire family. You will have wonderful memories of your truly exceptional parents. All our best, Barbara and Dick Schowen

Justice Six was a special person and a great role model for me. I worked for him as a legal researcher during the summer after my first year of law school, and I was always so impressed by his kindness, intellect, and wonderful curiosity. What a credit to the legal profession and to the State of Kansas!
