Fred Rush Obituary

Freddie Joe Rush

Freddie J Rush - 80, passed away on June 11, 2022 at Stormont Vail Health Center. He was born December 20, 1941. Fred received his education from the Lawrence School District until he joined the United States Navy in 1959. After his brief time in the Navy, he worked as an insurance salesman for many years traveling across Kansas and the surrounding states. In 1989, he started a Private Investigation and Security company which he was able to retire from in 2003. Golfing, fishing and travel were just a few activities he liked doing in his spare time. Most of all, Fred loved umpiring baseball at all levels across the State of Kansas. Fred was preceded in death by his Mother, Viola M Rush and Father, Sherman J Rush along with a sister, Joyce Ann Horgan. He is survived by a daughter, Leslie A Huerter and two sons, Rodney J and Ryan J Rush. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. Fred's life was celebrated with a private memorial.
