To the Plank family,
I worked for the Athletic Dept. for 10 yrs and was in charge of program sales at men's basketball games and I was so excited for the season to start because I knew I'd get to see Fred.
I have to say he was & is one of my most favorite people in this world. He will be greatly missed by lots of people.
Such a great, caring man. I know he's up there doing what he was doing while on this earth.

My heart hurts thinking I won't see his gorgeous mug!!! But hope one day to see him again and give him a big kiss like I always did.

Prayers to you.

As a former KU athletics employee and member of the KU basketball score table staff, I came in touch with Fred beginning in 1983. He was an amazing person with a great personality, memory and kindness towards others. His sense of humor was remarkable. I will miss seeing him at Allen Field House. May the perpetual line shine upon him.
