Evelyn Dees Obituary
1918-2015
Born 7/14/1918 Washington County Indiana. Married William James Dees 8/17/47 New Liberty, IN. Survived by 3 children, Tynka L. Dees, MD, daughter, San Jose; Daniel W. Dees, MD, son, Reno, and Kathy L. Dees JD, daughter, Oakland, many loving family and friends. Predeceased by her husband. Earned a BS from Indiana State University in 1942, MS in Education from Indiana University in 1949. Taught elementary school for 20 years. Life member of AAUW, Unitarian and member of UUFNN, volunteered in several organizations. Lifelong interests in women's rights, education and nature.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in the name of Evelyn Dees Scholarship at AAUW, PO Box 5818, Reno, NV 89513. A memorial service is set for July 18, 2015 at 3:00 pm at UUFNN.
